This is such a cute little cafe on Wekiva Island. The food was both affordable and amazing. My fish sandwich was great and my son loved his fish and chips (and he is a really picky eater). I had to drop a photo of my husband's tacos and fried nachos because words do not do them justice. There was adequate seating and everything was clean. We will definitely be back on our next kayaking trip.
This little food spot delivers! They have a HUGE menu, everything you need they make, even a bunch of veggie options. I had the banging shrimp tacos and they were divine, the chips and salsa were fresh and home made. Lots of good seasoning plus a bar nearby 10/10
What an enchanting place! I will go back soon to Kayak. A lovely spot tucked away, It would make a great family day. We had a cold beer, and the bartenders were nice. I love that they decorated for Halloween.
What a cool place to hangout and have a cold beer and tacos after a long kayaking day! We did 8.5miles route and stopping at this place was just perfect!
Visited Kiva Island for lunch and to launch our kayaks, and the experience was excellent. The location is easy to access from the water, the staff were organized, and the overall setup made it simple to drop in and explore the area by kayak. The food was solid and came out quickly, which works well for people who are in and out for outdoor activities. They also had a full Christmas Santa’s workshop display, including a functioning snow machine. It’s an unexpected feature for a Florida spot and adds a unique seasonal atmosphere without interfering with the normal operations. Overall, the site is well-run, family-friendly, and a convenient base for kayaking with some fun extras this time of year.
What a place. I had a paradise-like day. You have this foodtruck waterfront with amazing food, you have the bar with pretty good music and you get to enjoy all of this after a beautiful day doing Kayak! I loved it here
Unfortunately didn't get a picture of the food but it was amazing and so was the entire experience! I loved both the chicken and veggie quesadillas, also highly recommend the mozzarella sticks. Water was nice and also saw a snapping turtle! Finished it off with an ice cream sandwich. Will come back again
This is a great place to hang out and relax. It is a food truck with super yummy stuff. My party and I had different versions of tacos plus fries. The crispy cauliflower tacos are fantastic, served super crisp with cabbage, tomatoes and sauce and a good portion of freshly made corn chips. My daughter had meatless chicken tacos that she loved and my son had the Bang’n Fish Tacos that he said were solidly good. The bar on the same property has a good selection of beer on tap and there is a well priced canoe and kayak rental on the property as well. The best thing about this place is the relaxed waterside atmosphere. What could be better than to sit waterside with some good food, a beer snd friends or family. Pretty great way to spend an afternoon. On the edges of the property are cabanas for rent and we were thinking what a great place this would be for a bachelor/bachelorette party or birthday party for adults.
Jordan & Eithen at Without a Paddle Café absolutely exceeded expectations! From start to finish, they were incredible. Not only did they thoroughly clean the stove, but they also made sure it stayed spotless between orders — something you don’t always see. They worked with impressive efficiency and effectiveness, handling everything with skill and precision. On top of that, they were extremely helpful and patient with my entire family, making the experience even more enjoyable. What stood out the most was their professionalism combined with genuine personal care. They didn’t just do their jobs — they connected with the people they were serving. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better duo. Highly impressed and truly grateful for the experience! Only recommendation is offer coffee please my whole family would order coffee and or tea
We were on a mission to kayak! And this place hit the spot. We showed up around noon and on a Sunday. Rented 2 double kayaks, one single and 2 canoes. No delays. Friendly, helpful staff. Paddled to the springs in the state park next door and "parked" to swim. Perfect day!
